Little Feat – Dixie Chicken (1973)
This album has been a Paul family staple my whole life, and yet I’ve somehow never managed to have my own copy until I found it on vinyl in New Orleans a couple weeks ago. (In great condition, too!) Been listening to it repeatedly, and hearing things in a whole new light. Also I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a digital version of it, which is kinda cool.

The Roots – Things Fall Apart (1999)
Just finished reading ?uestlove’s book Mo’ Meta Blues, highly recommended reading for any music lover. And it put me on a serious Roots kick, too, especially this album and undun (2011).

Swamp Kitchen – Twamp Sauce (2013)

Saw these guys busking on Royal St. in New Orleans and bought their CD. A great find–classic New Orleans swing from some awesome young musicians; I hope to see them blow up.

Bobby McFerrin – Beyond Words (2013)
This album is simply mind-blowing.
